Nothing seems to be Moving

It is that time of the year when we have to communicate to you our dear donors, friends and well wishers. We are always happy to do that because it is imprtnat for us to keep in touch with those who have supported the organisation projects in one way or another.

The organisation is currently going through tough times with our fundraising at its lowest. It is sad to note that we have not had any activity on this project simply becuase we did not have the funds to push us forward. We are however working out ways of overcoming this challenge and we need every support there is. We ask for your continued support.

The elderly grandmothers still need our help and support because of the circumstances and dilema they are in. We at the Foundation are hopeful that we will achieve our obejective. We however, will achieve our objective with your support. We are grateful always for the support and do hope that you will continue supporting the project.

Still Moving Forward

Fast forwad since i wrote the last report and it is the month of March in the "New" year 2014. It is amazing how time flies. I will start by extending my regards from Ngoma Aid Foundation. We are grateful for your support and continued working relationship with the Foundation.

I am happy to report that we made some "little" but important progress on the project since the last report. We originally thought that we would be able to work on the verander , do some plastering work on the outside of the house, feed the naked concrete pillars with mortor and generally try to complete the finishing work outside the structure for our first benefiiary. We could not do all that due to financial challenges but we did some work on the verandah so as to block run off water from entering the foundation of the house, a thing that would subsequently weaken the entire structure.

Our fundraising has been at its lowest in the recent past and yet we still need to construct two more homes for other two families that we identified earlier on and complete the project. The metal pillars in the first house are still naked, plastering work on the outside of the house is not yet complete and we also have to continue fundraising for the remaing two pieces.

The elderly grandmothers still need our help and support because of the circumstances and dilema they are in. We at the Foundation are hopeful that we will achieve our obejective. We however, will achieve our objective with your support. We are grateful always

Happy New Year 2014

It is true, the year 2013 is gone and i would like to welcome our well wishers, friends and donor to the New Year 2014. We are so grateful for your support, generosity and kind contributions towards our project in 2013 and request that you keep the support coming through the New Year. We are begining the new year on a high note and are looking forward to your continued support.

The project did not achieve much in terms of donations and work done BUT we are happy that our first beneficiary is happy and comfortable in her home and forever grateful for the assistance. One of her grand children had a baby boy on the 21st December 2013, another addition to the family and that was always going to happen. It is very difficult for these old grand mothers to look after their orphaned grandchildren and provide for their basic need and before you realise it, as the children grow older, they tend to fend for themselves, albeit the hard way. And while we are of help to the family, we can not do everything for them, the more reason why we thought that giving them a home and keeping them together was of main interest, and yes, they are all in the house we provided for them.

We have managed to put together the donations that we received in 2013. We are planning to spend the money on doing some finishing work on the outside of the structure. The metals in the pillars are naked because the house was not properly finished. Tha plastering work on the outside was not finished and so was the verandah. We can handle one of these at a time at our own pace and the available resources and complete this job. In the meantime, we are fundraising for the remaining two homes. These old women need our help and support because of the circumstances they are in. I pray you help us achieve this objective.

I have attached a picture of the Old home and the House that replaces it, the new house highlights some of the unfinished work that we are hoping we can start on in 2014.

I thank you once again. Kindly keep the support coming.

I wish each one of you a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2014

It is Pretty Tough

I am happy yet again to be in touch with our donors, friends and well wishers. Allow me extend my warm regards. I am grateful for your support and  pray that you continue to support our projects and fundraising efforts so that we can achieve our goals.

It has been pretty tough getting funds through in the recent past although we are continuosly trying to reach out to our donors, friends and well wishers to keep supporting the projeect. We are hopeful that we will achieve our goal of construting the remaining two homes with your effort and thus request that you help support our fundraising efforts. Not much progress has been made to this project since our last report and the reason is that we have been limited by funds. We however still need to go on with the project because the targeted beneficiaries still need to be helped. By building our beneficiaries the homes, we will not only be providing shelter to the grandmothers but we will also be offering shelter to the orphaned grand children who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. Usually these young men and women are left in the care of their grandmothers, who most times do not have much.

I can only stress that we are only able to do our work with your support and contributions towards the project.I request that you keep this project at heart and also request you to tell others about it. This will help boost our fundraising efforts. Thank you once again for your support and i request you keep supporting us especially through the hard times.

The struggle continues.....

I am pleased to be in touch with our friends, donors and well wishers yet again. Thank you so much for your support and continue supporting our projects.

The project is designed to provide a new home for 3 identified elderly widowed grandmothers and their orphaned grand children. The three grandmothers were identified because their situation was alarming. One family already got a home though not thorougly finished due to financial challenges. we still have to construct two more homes and we can successfully do this with your help and support.

The house project remains on stand still because of lack of funds but equally important and dear to us. We continue to hope that our fundraising campaigns yield fruit so that the project goes on a splanned. I kindly request your support in creating awareness for the project by informing friends and family about the same.

Our remaining two targets to benefit from the project are still in need of new homes. The structures they live in have greatly outlived their life spans, the occupants are at a constant risk of the houses collapsing on them in case of a strong tremor. Thank God they recently survived the tremors that hit the country. The old roofs are leaking and a lot can be done to improve their wellbeing such as providing the new homes. We all need shelter.

We are so grateful for your support and kindly request you to continue helping and supporting us.

We seriously need and rely on your support in every way. Thank you always
