This project enables Haitian students unprecedented learning & collaboration opportunities with peers in the USA via a wiki. It will provide the technology & training for project sustainability.
Haiti has faced many man made & natural challenges. Haitians have relied on other nations to help them face those challenges. The post earthquake challenge presents a tremendous opportunity to provide Haiti hope from within through the development of Haiti’s greatest natural resource, its children. We believe that the greatest need to surmount Haiti’s challenges lies in education that utilizes 21st century technology while promoting problem solving, leadership, & collaboration.
We will provide direct instruction and collaboration through a joint wiki platform between students in the USA and students in Haiti. We will help Haitian students utilize 21st century educational technology to enable problem solving & leadership.
This project has the potential to create, collaborative, tech savvy leadership from within Haiti. It can promote distance-learning availability to both children and adults. It can serve as model for other schools around the globe to replicate.
With this wiki project, any student can become an active humanitarian.
