Our first update!

Mike and Ike

Hello everyone!

It has been a very busy few weeks since the Spring Challenge ended!

As you know, the south has been hard hit with extreme heat and drought. One of our main goals for our project was to be able to provide cool and comfortable shelters for our sanctuary horses. Because of your generous support we have been able to do our primary fencing and one new run-in shelter is nearly completion!

I was hoping to have photographs for you, but in the midst of all the building and fencing our program director also moved next door. While the move might only have been 300 yards it has not been without a series of construction, power and water issues. I hope to have some photos soon and we will send them to you in a project report next month.

While you wait, I would like you to meet Mike and Ike. These two horses were rescued this winter, they were horribly malnourished, injured and had lost most hope. Because of your kindness and support for Sunkissed Acres, these two will never again be separated and can live out their lives in peace.

Until next month, THANK YOU!

Sincerely,

The Sunkissed Acres Team
