New Computer Lab up and running...

Dear friends of International Academy of Niamey (IAN);

As you already know, PCs are an important part of today’s society. Because of your support IAN now has computers and other elements of technology directly in the classroom. This is benefiting the students in a myriad of different ways. We've asked the students their opinions about their experience so far. Enjoy reading their thoughts below:

  • Computers in the classroom allow us to learn the basic mechanics of computers, such as the keyboard, basic software and we believe we can use computers in many other situations.
  • Through the internet, computers teach us to utilize online research for homework, schoolwork, and other projects.
  • Through the internet,computers make it possible for us to find answers to questions both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Having computers in the classroom helps us learn typing skills, which can also improve our writing skills. Tools like spell check and grammar check in word processing programs is helping us to improve spelling and grammar skills.

The above are the wonders that your support is making. While the current academic year is two months away from its end, we are still over $30,000 short of our fundraising objective. Your continued support is highly appreciated. Our goal for the 2012-2013 academic year is to enroll 50 students. We cannot meet this goals without your support.

Thank you so much and May God Bless You.
