The International Academy of Niamey is now closed

Dear friends and family,

Just a few months ago, I informed you that our 10th grade students were on their way to take their first national exam known as Brevet d'Etude du Premier Cycle (BEPC). The results came in and I am proudly announcing to you that we had a 67% success rate. For comparison purpose, the national average success rate was 22%. We could not have accomplished this without those of you that have supported us since we opened our doors in June 2011.

Unfortunately, we had no choice but to close our doors to these brilliants students that we have come to admire so much. These students have demonstrated such courage and determination.

The past three academic years have been a wonderful journey and I personally thank The Lord for His blessings and for sustaining us during this time. This is not to say goodbye as I believe that there are still great plans ahead. You will be in my thought and prayer. And I ask that you pray for me as I am seeking new directions on how to continue to provide the blessing of education to those in need.

Thank you.

IT WILL BE UNFORTUNATE.

Dear friends and family;

With your help and kind contribution, we are on our way to complete our third year by mid-July. As we speak, our tenth grade students are taking their state exam that will determine whether they are ready for high school. The national success rate tends to hover below forty percent for public schools and about sixty to seventy five percent for private schools. Our hope is to be even above the seventy five percent rate. In fact, we set our goal at one hundred percent because we believe in the quality of our teachers and the great work that they have accomplished over the past three years.

UNFORTUNATELY, we might have to close the school by end of July 2014 as we are not able to secure funding for the past three months, let alone for the next academic year. This is our last call to you to help save the school and to continue to provide quality education to young boys and girls in the Republic of Niger.

Please act NOW with your donation to SAVE the school. Thank you.

Our brave students are preparing for the state exam!

Dear friends,

This academic year is a defining one for for International Academy of Niamey. In a few months, our 10th grade students will be sitting for the state exam. This will not be an easy task for them. However, we trust the quality of our current teachers to carry them through this upcoming challenge. We like to remind you of the important role you have played in carrying these young students to this point. We would not have been able to do this without your never ending support.

As we are hurdling to get to this important finish line, we still face many financial challenges notably our ability to meet our monthly obligations (mainly teachers' salaries) of $2,500. To that end, your support is needed more than ever. Please consider making donations of any amount.

Thanks for your considerations,

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving...

Dear Friend,

Here at AIU Foundation we do not have to think long or hard about what we’re thankful for this
Thanksgiving. We’re grateful for you, every single day.

You reached out your hand and helped many middle school students to get quality formal education. You
made the first steps and many young girls and boys are taking a journey of a thousand miles.

With your support, we now have 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grades with enrollement if just 9 students in 2011 to our current level of 24 students that received from free education to school suppliers.

Together, we are changing lives and developing a new generation of hope.

You’ve made an immense difference this year to the young girls and boys of NIGER Republic. I can’t thank
you enough.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Changing Africa. Impacting the World.

Friends and Supporters,

Thank you, thank you, and thank you. Because of your kindness and generosity, we were able to complete two full academic years since our collective journey began in June 2011. We are embarking to the 2013-2014 academic year that will surely come with its challenges. But because of your generosity over the past two years, I have full faith that this year will be another successful one. From nine students in 2011, we are at over twenty students today. While this is testimony of our accomplishments, it is also a call for all of us to open our pocket so that these young girls and boys can accomplish their dreams of becoming good and productive citizens of the world. We are changing Africa. We are impacting the World. Since 2011, we have provided a combined forty years of education. This is all because of you. Please donate today. Thank you.
