Adpin is working in Nepal helping orphans and marginalized children that have been orphaned during the decade long civil war in Nepal .The victims of the insurgency have primarily been children that have lost their parents and are living in abject poverty and hunger. Through the years Adpin has been providing orphanages with food like rice, meat, vegetables and canned food to ensure that the children receive a nutritious and replenishing diet to ensure healthy growth and development

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

This food drive project has been established to help feed orphan children like Sita Rai - Age 13; who lost both her parents during the decade long civil war in Nepal. During the insurgency there were lives lost; but the children paid the biggest price. Malnutrition has caused the children to be stunted and intellectually impaired. The government as of yet has no nutrition programs to help orphaned children. Sometimes children willingly start working to feed their empty stomach.

How will this project solve this problem?

This food drive project primary purpose is to improve the health of children by providing them with nutritious food . This project will directly help the orphaned children in Nepal with a better balanced diet. It will give the children 3 meals a day; with a wide varied selection of nutritious food and the required calories for a balanced diet. With a healthy balanced diet it will help the children with a healthy growth and development. "A Healthy mind needs a healthy body

Potential Long Term Impact

On the long run this food drive project will ensure that marginalized children will grow up to be healthy and productive individuals in society. The children will not have to work as child labors, to feed their hungry stomach. With proper nutrition they will become healthy and get a fair opportunity to compete in life with no discrimination.
