Summary
This project will provide necessary medication and doctor visits for 130 children living with HIV/AIDS in the impoverished northern region of Togo, West Africa.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Raising a child with HIV/AIDS demands a tremendous amount of resources. Often the families and caretakers of children living with HIV/AIDS suffer from extreme poverty. Many can barely meet their basic needs let alone afford the cost of additional medicine and doctors visits for children living with HIV/AIDS.
How will this project solve this problem?
This program will pay for doctors visits and medicine to treat opportunistic infections for children living with HIV/AIDS. It will also provide necessary vitamins and nutritional support.
Potential Long Term Impact
130 children will stay healthier thereby reducing the financial burden on their families.
