This project will provide 400 woodfuel saving stoves & 3000 plant the community to carry out the fuel saving & forestation activities on individual & group basis at local levels & improve enviornment.
In Mansehra, more than 70% families living in rural areas cook their meals over open wood fires. These families don't have access to alternative fuel sources. Most of women use stoves made of local material. These open wood fires create serious problems. Smoke from these fires is a major cause of acute respiratory infections.Inefficient open wood fires require a great deal of fuel, contributing to deforestation.Considering this the need for provision of woodfuel saving stove & plant was felt.
Each of our fuel-efficient stoves saves carbon dioxide emissions which will help our global environment. The stoves also benefit whole community by reducing deforestation, which in turn can help prevent erosion and landslides & protect water supplies.
The project will sensitize 400 families (2800 member) directly & at least 5000 people indirectly, which will provide for improved local & cotribute for imporved global envoirnmnet
