Summary
9.6% of children living in Mali, one of the most impoverished countries in the world, have no means of feeding themselves. ACFA provides lodging, food, health care and education to these children.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Children left on the street have no means of feeding themselves. This kind of lifestyle leads to even more troublesome situations. Specifically, girls tend to resort compromising themselves. Many conceive children they cannot care for and more vulnerable children are born on a daily basis.
How will this project solve this problem?
ACFA has aided children living on the street and given them a shelter. In the Orphanage a Staff of five takes care of the children, providing them with 3 meals a day, multivitamins, etc...
Potential Long Term Impact
This program will allow the children to acquire an education and skills to care for themselves and their future families. Additionally, they will be an integral part of Mali's economic and social development.
