Elderly people had a good as well as bad time during the last three months. They celebrated two biggest festivals Dashan and Deepawali. During Dashain festivals their nearest relatives came to meet them and have Tika and Jamara and blessing from them.
During Deepawali they lit candle and worshipped Laxmi the Goddess of wealth. They prayed to Almighty God for peace and prosperity for all.
Two week ago they lost one of their old friends. She passed away at the age of 92. Now a days they have been praying for her departed rest in peace in heaven. We would like to express our deep sympathy and grief to all the bereaved families and relatives and pray to God for her departed soul rest in peace in Heaven.
The elderly people spend most of their time praying to God in the prayer Hall. Recently they have received a small radio from us. They enjoy listening to different radio programs.
Now winter is approaching. They need warm clothes to wear to keep they warm. We would like to request to share our fund raising program among your network, family and friends and to achieve our fund raising goal.

We have very good news to share with you . By the grace of God all the 35 people at Manakamana old age Home Khandbari are living happily till now. However, among them one 92 year – old woman has been taken to hospital by their relatives. Another 82 –year- old woman is well. She can still cook and eat herself
A 82 year old woman said." I may and go to another world soon. I may not be able to see you again. Please tell my best wish to all who have helped our old age home till now. In the last stage of my life I pray to god for peace, Prosperity, happiness and long life to all.''
All the elderly people at the old age home spend most of their time praying to God and hymn. They pray two hours in the morning, four hours during the day and two hours in the evening.
Last a visitor Melissa Pertusi from Brazil visited the old age home. The elderly people were happy to take picture with her.
With our donors' valuable donation through Global giving organization we have been able to distribute food stuff and other necessary materials to them from time to time

However, among them one woman is 92 years old and another one 82 years old. They are very old and weak. They are unable to cook and eat themselves. They cannot get up from their bed without somebody' help. Other people are taking care of them.
On the auspicious occasion of World environmental day May 5, 2014, Khandbari municipality managed medical checkup for them. The district hospital doctor checked all the elderly people and also gave them some necessary medicine in free of cost.
On the auspicious occasion Sankhuwasabha district Health Office also arranged a sanitation program around the Old Age Home. In the program the elderly people were taught about personal hygiene, cleanliness as well as how to be healthy.

New year 2014 brought great change in the life of 37 elderly people living at Manakalamau Old Age Home Khandbari. On the auspicious occasion of the happy new year we distributed food martial: 10 KG rice , 2 kg pulse, 1 kg Sugar, 1 kg salt, half a liter cooking to 35 elderly people living there.. They were extremely to receive food materials for about one month. After receiving the materials they all prayed to God for progress, should health and long life for you and an all your family.Through this report I would like to sharel their greetings and best wishes among all of you.
On the auspicioua occasion we also donated a Emergency rechargeable torch light to tem. Since then they habe bee able to use it instead of kerosene stove there is no electricityThey have already received water tank to collect and store water. They have been utilizing it fully.

During the last three months all the 37 old age people at Manakamana Old Age Home remained well. Last October they celebrated Dashain and Deepawali, their greatest festivals happily. A big fair also took place there. They prayed to god and ddanced and enjoyed the festival.
We are very much pleased to inform you that we have recently received Rs.37700.00 as donation for the 37 elderly people. On the auspicious occasion of coming Christmas day December 25, we are planning to distribute food materials like rice, lentil, salt etc to the 37 old age people leaving there. They are verry much excited to hear the very good news. I will write to you the detail report of the food distribution program with lots of pictures in my next report.
