Save From Streets

By a male, under 16 years old, in Kakamega, Kenya
Map of Save from streets My name is Andrew Karanja. I am 15years old and reside in Home of Grace childrens home. I am also a student at Amalemba Primary school.I am an orphan after losing my parents at a tender age. My relatives, due to the greediness, seized all our property and left me alone. I was lonely without no one being to take care of me. I went to the streets where i did spend my life struggling. As street boys, I and others were always neglected, getting food and other things was just hard and i remember we could oftenly sleep on hungry stomachs occassionaly. Lucky enough, after i had spent about 2 year there, a certain group of people came, visited us and asked us if we were willing to go to a home and get education. I accepted quickly and I together with several others were taken. I later joined Home of Grace where I have been able to get food, shelter, cloths and many other basic needs. And also its through here, i have been able to go to school again. Read more.

Mather

By a female, 16-21 years old, in Nairobi, Kenya
Map of mather This is when I had a problem I could not handle alone. That I needed help from anyone but imagine what happened is that I was helped by (cfk) that is David, Darius and my aunt lucy they were people who helped me. Imagine you were a student and also a mother to someone too. Don't forget you must go to school and also take responsibility of your child. This was a big challenge in my life even I was almost dropping school and also I wanted to commit sucide because I did not see any reason to be a life because I could not save to things at the same time. There is when Carolina came in & talked to me and adviced me on what to do though it was painful to handle my own child to someone else to take responsibility and I go to school I really thank the organization for (cfk) and my aunt.
