For over 25 years, Ms. Nietert was a member of the Washington, D.C. law firm of Brown, Nietert and Kaufman, specializing in telecommunications law. She is a founder of ACPC, handling mergers and acquisitions of broadband facilities. She is WMI's chief operating officer, structuring its loan documents and overseeing its credit operations. She traveled to Uganda in Jan. '08 and will return in '09.
Ms. Gordon has been involved in the real estate finance/development business (predominantly multifamily, seniors, low and moderate income housing) since 1985 and is currently a consultant to Fannie Mae in Washington, D.C. She is the President of the Herb Gordon Foundation for Gastrointestinal Cancers and serves on the Board of the Washington Hospital Center Foundation.
In September 2008, Olive Wolimbwa, chair of the Bulambuli Widow's Associaiton, left her teaching position at the elementary school in Bulambuli village to become Local Director of WMI's credit program in Byobo, Ungada. Working as a volunteer in early 2008, Ms. Wolimbwa organized the first group of WMI borrowers and under her supervision they all repaid their loans on time.
