Improving The Health Of People

Map of IMPROVING THE HEALTH OF PEOPLE PATH a catalyst for global health in putting thsi into actions, donated to more than 10 communitie in kingum miscountonets with the view of saving and combating the high malaria complications registered in th district. They have also conducted a comprehensive approach to accessing household status focusing on the role of gender on nutritional and livelihood outcomes. Read more.

Land Grabbed

By a male, 16-21 years old, in Mombasa, Kenya
Map of Land grabbed Land grabbing mainly happens in places where people are not well conversane with their rights and rules governing them.Other people also take advantage of their position within the government to grab land and use it for their own benefit. Recently in mombasa .a private developer had started building a five star hotel/resturant on a public land that he had connected with the high ranked politician to grab. Fortunately some residents near the shore were aware of the issue and quickly reported the matter to the ministry of lands.The issue was a court case and the developers was forced to pay a good amount of money apart from destroying what he had started building. Ending Illiteracy

Map of Ending illiteracy Illiteracy has become rampant in Kenya,mostly in the rural areas among the communities value their traditional practises eg pastoralism. In maasailand for example,most people are not educated and this has led to an increased rate of illliteracy among the people. The government has therefore decided to put in-place funds for construction and maintenance of educational facilities within the community land. The school to be modernised are currently in use but in a bad state.There are new blocks that have been constructed and are already in use.This is a great effort towards promoting illiteracy in the region .
