Council Recovers Grabbed Hospital Land

Map of Council recovers grabbed hospital land Pumwani hospital is one of the hospitals that have all equipment for treating.Land was allocated to the hospital for expansion of Pumwani Maternity hospital but the land was sold to an Indian family (a private developer)) Top city officers coluded to sell 13 of 20 acres set aside for the expansion.Documents of various correspondence between the commissioner of lands and deputy town clerle dated last year show the transfer of the land. The officials who were involved in the case are reigned in court over the matter.The hospital land would be degazzetted back after the case. Read more.

Low Quality

Map of LOW QUALITY Road construction in Kenya has always been of low quality. This has left many citizens with the question of who ensure quality civil works especially road construction. For instance the Landhies Road in Nairobi where the work has been left unfinished. The level of the tar is unevenly laid, the drainage slabs have been breaking up at the slightest pressure, and the paving block have been cracking. All these happens a year after repairs. Read more.

Drug Abuse

Map of DRUG ABUSE Drug is a chemical substance obtained mainly fro plants and in Kibera is the biggest slum in Africa.Most of the boys in Kibera slum used drugs because they cannot do work without the drugs which give a false sense of well being. Other boys in Kibera chew jkhat or miraa. Bhang is another drug obtained from dried leaves and flowers of the hemp plant.Itis tken in a variety of ways The main way i smoking and it can be putted in into a paste and then mixed with food or drink. Bhang leads to quarrels/fights and other crimes.Bhang is highly addictive. The ministry of health has helped Kibera say, 'NO TO DRUG ABUSE'. Read more.

He starte this program because he was consern about the nature and he wanted to conserve out forest. Tree plays an important role in our lives such as provide oxygen act as water catchment act as wind breaker and conserve our soil from erosion. It is also the source of many rivers. Tree Consevation

Map of TREE CONSEVATION There has been intense deforestation in the mau forest inthe previous decades due to excisions by greedy law makers in the country.This posed a great threat to the provision of water in the country due to the destruction of this great water catchment area.When all hope seemed to be lost the green belt cities foundation started global campaign so as to sensitive the government and the people the need to conserve trees and their role in water catchment .This influenced a countrywide so as to plant trees thus saved the forest from extinction. Protecting Our Forest

Map of PROTECTING OUR FOREST Leaters from Elgeyo Marakwet have asked the government & make public vindings of a Task forced formed & look in & encouraged of ambotot forest. They accused forestry and wildlife minister of falling & act on those that affect forest. Many people have started planting trees so they am have a good and beatiful forest which can attract rain and help in the soil erosion. The community have got from that project and no one is enchoring the forest. Read more.
