This project has supported about 1200 families with bednets and neem tree seedlings. These past months a number of families on the Island have had to shift to higher grounds due to floods, but they have ensured they carry their bed nets along, as malaria cases have been on the rise. Necofa , Slow food central Rift chapter and other stakeholders within Baringo and Molo districts are working towards a campaign on the conservation of Molo river, from which the degradation upstream is causing havoc to the families living downstream in Baringo and especially families on Kokwa Island.
We thank our donors for their continued support; we hope to get more funds to support the campaign, which will promote conservation efforts from the families living upstream, to ensure better lives for families downstream
