Our Team
12+ is run by three recent University of Pennsylvania graduates who have a big heart for Philadelphia and its people.
What We Bring
Our biggest asset is our commitment to our students as well as our belief that they have potential that extends far beyond 12th grade.
Beginnings
12+, like many other nonprofits, started off as an idea. In the beginning, we provided mentorship to 9 students, all of whom went on to college. Since that time, we have expanded to over 50 seniors.
PLUS One Mentors
Through the effort and dedication of its mentors from Penn and Temple, 12+ is able to run a mentorship program for its seniors at Kensington Health Sciences Academy.
Workshops
During our College Access Workshops, we help our students with everything from their SATs to their personal statements.
The Chapter Model
12+ currently operates two chapters, one at Penn and one at Temple, which support the organization through mentorship, fundraising, and awareness campaigns.
Partnerships
Philadelphia has abundant resources for our students; it's just a matter of using these resources in the right way! USciences students recently came in & gave a presentation about careers in medicine.
