Dear Project of the Month Club,I hope you had a great Giving Tuesday! With all the hype around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we’re so grateful to take this time to reflect and unite around giving back. So, what better way to celebrate than with another update on the impact of your generous donations! In November, 155 of you gave a combined total of $4,743 to a project by our friends at Power of Love Foundation called "Micro Loans For Women Impacted by HIV/AIDS, Zambia" Here's what the Project Leader Alka Subramanian wanted to share with you about your gift:"Your gift helped provide new loans, as well as business training, advice, and monitoring for 12 months to 16-18 women impacted by HIV/AIDS in Zambia. Since each of these women has, on average, 6-8 people in their household, your donation had a direct impact on 110-125 people–and an indirect impact on an additional 75-150, as the women share their experience of running a business and encourage other women to take charge of their lives."We're also thrilled to share that, in December, your donations will be combined to benefit a project called “Rainwater Catchments: A Solution to Water Scarcity” by Friends of Burkina Faso. Here’s what Project Leader Kathleen McDonald had to say when we shared the good news with her:“Thanks so much to the donors! The Ramongo villagers will be thrilled to learn of the strong support GlobalGiving generates and eager to begin construction of our second rainwater catchment basin in Burkina Faso.” We look forward to more good news from the field in 2014 (wow, it will take a while to get used to saying that)! It’s truly inspiring to see the GlobalGiving community unite around such important causes. Thank you for your continued support.Warmly,Mari and the GlobalGiving Team
