As we near the end of 2012, we'd like to thanks our donors through GlobalGiving and let you know the great things Happy Trails Riding Center has been up to this year. This year we provided 255 riding lessons (16 youth riders to date in our classes, and 17 adults with disabilities and special needs). We hosted a 6 person riding party for adults with disabilities, a large (approximately 70 person party for Down Syndrome Network Oregon – with 44 riders- approx 34 had down syndrome or other developmental disability. Of the 44 riders 5 were adults).
So we are estimating our total served for riding was 22 adults and 55 youth and approximately 23 volunteers helped make this possible.
Our fall dance was attended by 55 total people.
Our holiday party was attended by approximately 50 people.
We are so very thankful to all of our donors, voluteers and of course our horses that are helping make riding and social opportunities available to people with disabiltiies and special needs.
Our 2013 classes will begin in March and run through November.
We wish you all happy holidays and a wonderful new year!
Sincerely,
Happy Trails Riding Center
