By Muriel Koch | Secretary of Meet Kate Foundation
On January 25th, after 8 months of hard work, we finally had the official opening of the Meet Kate Academy, where we'll be teaching 150 students. With speeches of president Kelly de Vries, ambassador Peter R. de Vries and several honorary guests, it was a festive and special day.
The construction of the school literally cost blood, sweat and tears, but the result is magnificent! We are so very proud! The past few months we have documented the development of the construction and today we'd like to share it with you.
In the attachment you'll find our newsletter with pictures of the opening.
To get a 30 second overview of the construction of the building, check out this film.
Meet Kate would like to thank everyone for contributing to the construction of this primary school. Without you, we couldn't have done it!
