Our rental and mortgage assistance program continues to assist working poor families to avoid homelessness by assisting clients with back rent and subsidies to help them stay afloat. Recently, Interfaith Neighbors helped a family with two teenagers. The mother, who was a teachers’ assistant in a local school, was diagnosed with breast cancer and then additional tumors were found. She will be in treatment for several months and unable to work. The husband is a contractor and had reduced income during the severe winter months. They were assisted with back rent and will receive additional assistance while the mother is in treatment. If you would like to help families just like this, please consider a donation to Interfaith Neighbors. Our office is located at 810 Fourth Ave., Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
