Lindsey Reynolds - Country program director
Lindsey Reynolds has been working and conducting research in South Africa on HIV and its impacts on children and families since 2003. She started this project, called Thembanathi, when she was still in college. She is currently completing a joint PhD in public health and anthropology at Johns Hopkins, studying forms of child vulnerability and family structures of care in rural South Africa
Helen Towle - Project manager
Helen Towle has been working in the field of Human Resources Management for over 30 years. In addition to her career, Helen has volunteered on a number of non-profit boards, including over 10 years on a board for a theraputic pre-school program in her community. Helen has been managing fundraising initiatives for Thembanathi since 2004.
Nonhlanhla Sabela - Program Director
Nonhlanhla Sabela, the local project manager, was selected by community leaders as the best candidate to lead this new program. A former teacher and active school board member, she is inspired to dedicate her life to this project because she wants to give back to the community that supported her and her children after the death of her husband.
