Provide heart surgeries for Rio's poorest children

Update on Procrianca

The Procrianca Foundation continues to perform heart surgeries for children from poor families. The hospital is also focusing on building a hospital that will provide state of the art surgeries in a setting that will offer their services to the community that can pay that will offset the nonprofit work that they perform. In eleven years of work (1996-2007), Pró Criança Cardíaca has achieved the following results:

Odontological Appointments 1,028 Clinical Treatments 139 Catheterizations 258 General Surgeries 259 Cardiac Surgeries 619 Echocardiograms 4,142 Electrocardiograms 4,086 Total Number of Children Treated 11,338
