Summary
Massive rains from Tropical Storm Ketsana have caused severe flooding. As of 10/1, the death toll is 277, and hundreds of thousands of residents have lost their homes.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
This Fund will work with project partners to supply displaced residents with food, shelter, and other basic necessities in the wake of the storm. Manila and its close-in provinces have borne the brunt of the massive storm, and the number of those affected and in need of assistance is still being assessed.
How will this project solve this problem?
Provide food, water, emergency medical supplies and housing to residents displaced and affected by Tropical Storm Ketsana, which caused massive flooding and loss of life in the Philippines.
