Talking to her Pony
As our ponies across the country begin to shed their winter coats, we are all getting ready to prepare some of our ponies for new assignments. This is the time of year that many of our new volunteer families and caretakers are getting ready to receive their ponies. That means the funds we have received from our Global Giving donations will be used to help with this process.
In addition, we have provided funding for a couple of our Directors to travel this spring to our National Conference being held in Maryland. We are very excited to be able to support some of their efforts in making their way across the country to be here in May.
This spring we are also working with a couple new potential breeding farms and will use the funds to move some of our very precious breeding stock to strategic locations around the country. Our breeding program is very carefully determined and the heart of our future.
Lastly, there are a few placements that have been made over the winter (mostly in the warmer climates) and here is a blog entry from one of them http://thankyouillbehereallweek.blogspot.com/2011/03/first-ride.html
ENJOY AND THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT. Our national program runs on a budget under $5000. All of the money we receive in contributions is used to help the children and their ponies. No one is paid a penny for their time and we never charge for our services. Thank you for helping us continue to bring a little magic into the lives of children that are differently able.
If you have other ideas for us on raising funds or reaching more children, do write to us. d_chasin@hotmail.com
