It's been three months since we've updated you on the Peace Embassy.
We've been held back by the recent floods that hit Sanski Most, but we know you have all contributed to our efforts to help our local community in one way or another. We are very grateful for all the kind messages, and moral support.
Every day we work towards making our vision come to life, and establish our Peace Embassy. If we were to write the latest developments in bullet points it would look like this:
On Wednesday July, 16th, we are taking part in the globalgiving partner rewards day. Should you choose to make a donation on this specific day, it will be matched by 40%. You can support us by sharing our project page with your contacts, friends, and family over social media, or by sending an email.
We hope you're having a very productive summer, and if you ever need more information from us, please do get in touch.
Many thanks for all your support.
The CIM Team
Dear amazing supporters,
We have been making a small progress and our peace embassy plans continue to be developed.
Over the course of the last three months we have seen an increase in interest for the project and we are currently trying to get a volunteer reponsible for the overall project.
After we looked at the strategies we had in place, we decided to start taking small stepts to develop income generation projects. We are currently in touch with several people about the possibility of getting a donation to purchase bikes and rent them out for a profit as well as opening up the possibility of arranging local guided tours in the area. Our eco-tourism initiative will be developed in colaboration with Sanski Most's local outdoors club.
Your donations help us focus on our project and as soon as we will have more staff capacity we hope to start using the funds to initiate these small scale ventures to support our overall plan to build our Peace Embassy.
Please do share our project with your friends and family, or get in touch with us if you'd consider setting up a fundraiser activity. You will get all the help and support you need from us.

We hope you are all well and enjoying spring, we've had a case of sporadic snow here.
Also, Happy Easter to those who celebrate it.
In 2013 we've managed to raise $765 for our project on Globalgiving, and we believe it has been a major accomplishment. The project is vast and requires a lot of resources, especially financial ones, though every day we are more and more optimistic about its prospects.
In the past few months we have managed to get professional business planning and analysis advice, and we are now working on developing a solid business proposal in order to also attract funding from big donors. Our team at the office and abroad are constantly researching the best and most efficient methods to generate sustainable income.
Community engagement with CIM has also grown considerably in the past year, and many stress the benefitial impact of a local community centre for Sanski Most. Particularly we've looked at how this local run social enterprise will incorporate creating new jobs, particularly for local unemployed youth. Eco-tourism will play a major role in the project, and we hope to start some of our income generation ventures this year.
With your support we can leave our desks at the office, and put some of our plans into action.
With all the hustle and bustle created by the summer, our peace camp, and new volunteers arriving, we are now back in the office working hard.
The Peace Embassy has been given priority and now that we have a structred and well designed business proposal, the volunteers have been working on researching the potential of incorporating a tourist agency into the plan in order to generate income and means to become self-sustainable.
The funding available will be looked at this autumn and the possibility may arise to be able to purchase a strip of land for building the emabassy right by the bank of the sana river, and in the close proximity of the town centre, which would allow better links with the community and easy access.
Every donation we get for the Peace Embassy will be directed straight into a fund which solely aims to build a self-sustainable social enterprise which will allow us to continue the crucial work needed in Bosnia, in the current situation where funding is getting more and more scarce.
Greetings from Bosnia!
Summer at CIM, in Sanski Most is always more about action and doing, and therefore we've been busy implementing projects and the activities we've planned.
Our new project manager as well as the international volunteers have been researching and applying for potential funding that will help us take action on the ground, on our Peace Embassy, as well as running other peace activities in parallel.
We are also in the process of starting to build relationships with other organisations who are doing similar work, have a similar ethos, and have fully developed peace centres. These relationships will help us exchange ideas about how to run the centres in a sustainable way, and for us, learn from the challenges that they've encountered on the way.
We thank you kindly for your donations and patience with our project. We soon hope to deliver good news about "doing" and more concrete action about the physical foundations of the Peace Embassy.
