This project will plant 250,000 trees in schools in Kenya to help reduce carbon gases which has lead to global warming. The public policy in Kenya is that 1/4 of land be devoted to tree planting.
Recent phenomenon in global warming has given great challenge to many countries, especially our country Kenya.Prolonged dry seasons, water shortages on resources, and low food productions are the vexing problems communities are facing .Deforestation of of many green forests has given out soil erosion making the soil inactive to produce much from the farms.Although many public schools receive most funds from the government, many schools are poor and has no inner self supporting projects.
This project will help schools to generate in come to support poor children who cannot be bale to pay school fees, reduce carbon gases to stop global warming, will regulate rain season and boost agricultural produce,and revive the country's economy.
Public schools in Kenya have big lands which are not well used,planting trees will make this schools economically stable, will make them good places of learning, especially environmental knowledge which is essential to youths.
