Summary
Designed to reach out to displaced families in Pakistan who have been affected by the recent devastating earthquake. The project will provide short-term housing and care for these families.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Millions of families have been displaced following the recent devastating earthquakes in South Asia. Families in Pakistan affected by the earthquake are now homeless and in urgent need of housing and provisions; this need is especially great as winter approaches. We will be working with our village community to host as many families from Kashmir as possible. Reaching out to families in Muzzafarabad (one of the worst-hit cities) to provide shelter and care.
How will this project solve this problem?
We will need funds to rent vehicles, buy food and blankets and make arrangements for displaced people to live in our villages, until the time when the government provides them housing or they are able to return home.
Potential Long Term Impact
This project will provide short-term housing and care to displaced families who have been affected by the devastating earthquake in Pakistan.
