Summary
Provide aid to artisan teachers and their families who have been affected by the earthquake. These teachers, who have been teaching skills to our villagers for the last 3 years, are in urgent need.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Millions of families have been displaced following the recent devastating earthquake in South Asia. The priority for our project will be families with children who have been displaced. Specifically, one of our master artisans has lost four family members and will now have to take care of all the children and women of those families. There are thousands of similar cases. We want to help as many as we can.
How will this project solve this problem?
Many families’ sole breadwinners have been killed by the earthquake and will need long-term support and care. We will be offering support to master artisan teachers in Kashmir who are in desperate need of assistance.
Potential Long Term Impact
Provide support to master artisans who have been affected by the earthquake in Pakistan. To help artisans and their extended families survive the devastating effects the earthquake has had on their livelihood.
Project Message
“There are over 4 million people who have become homeless due to this disaster and they will need housing and shelter on an urgent basis as winter is approaching.”
