Over 50% of Colombians are living below the poverty line, many of whom are displaced. Parents all around Colombia struggle to feed their children each day. The fact is that they want to feed their children and not live off of handouts. Access to financial services is not only a desire for many poor Colombians, but a necessity for them to achieve this goal.
For many poor families, microfinance is key for providing more food on the table and access to education. Once a loan is repaid, your donation is then recycled to become another loan, then another- working to build up the local economy.
