With only 2 weeks until the Fall semester of Opening Minds Through Art (OMA) winds up, we are pleased to say that the residents of Cedar Village are creating some incredible artwork. Highlights include spectacular inspirations from the artists such as Marc Chagill and Wassily Kandinsky. Residents used not only paint brushes, but golf balls, straws and other media to create wonderful works of art. When it came to creating "suminagashi," it was unbelievable what marbling paper and ink can do. As one resident said, "this painting makes me want to sing."
The semester will end with an art exhibit in the Cedar Village art gallery. The new winter semester of OMA begins in January 2011. Stay tuned!
