Repair 50 homes for the poor in NW Arkansas

Apr 30, 2012

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

 Dear Partners,

June 9th will be a beautiful day for four families in Benton County Arkansas.  In the spirit of being good neighbors Northwest Arkansas Resource, Conservation and Development will be joining Rebuilding Together of Northwest Arkansas to make life a little better for four families. This will be the first of several projects the two organizations will be working on together. The work that will completed by volunteers includes:

  • Replacing an unsafe porch and staircase for an elderly woman as well as working on the home’s exterior
  • Providing both interior and exterior work on the home of a client with spinal meningitis who is paralyzed from the shoulders down
  • A client with mobility issues who must have one bathroom modified for ADA access before she can move back into her home.  This client cared for her mother prior to her recent death and is now  in need assistance herself.
  • Two clients with developmental disabilities who need repairs on doors, decking, uneven flooring, as well as, interior and exterior painting

When good neighbors come together great things happen. Thank you for being a good neighbor!
