We continue to share our vision for healthy rural communities in Cameroon as we work to reach our fundraising goal for this project. We are encouraged by the support and response we have seen so far, and we are grateful for all those who have helped us to come within $1500 of our total project goal.
Please continue to share this with your friends and networks, as we believe that this project can make a significant improvement in the health and welfare of isolated rural communities. Every donation brings us closer to the full implementation of this project in the communities of Akwaya.
The FORUDEF nutrition project has been initiated to train women and the communities of Akwaya and Buea on the principles and practice of good nutrition with an emphasis on food consumed – vitamins, protein, fats and their sources. Partnerships with communities in and around Buea continue to elicit encouraging results, and every group we have worked with has been eager to learn about healthy diets and how to sustainably improve the nutrition of their communities. The seed distribution and planting has been a success and we are excited to implement these measures in the communities of Akwaya as soon as the full project funding is raised.
Currently, we are continuing to monitor the nutritional situation of our partner communities in Akwaya as we strive to achieve our fundraising goals and put this project into a fully operational state. We have maintained our regular contact with the communities in Akwaya and we are assessing the nutritional needs of the communities there, while also discussing crop improvements, and sources of nutrition with local community members. All the planning and logistical requirements have been addressed and the communities in Akwaya are excited to participate in this empowering training program.

Healthier diets and healthier communities are within reach for some of the most isolated and impoverished villages in Cameroon. We will continue to put all our efforts into raising the remaining funds for this project, and we are eager to help those in need in a practical and empowering way.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement as you help us build healthier communities in some of Cameroon's neediest regions.
