As the donations continue to come in, we are encouraged to see that we are almost half-way towards reaching our fundraising goals for the project. Meeting the nutritional demands of rural communities continues to pose a significant challenge throughout Cameroon, and yet we are strengthened to see that our attempts to address these needs in Akwaya are being supporting by concerned individuals around the world.
Currently, we are continuing to monitor the nutritional situation of our partner communities in Akwaya as we strive to achieve our fundraising goals and put this project into a fully operational state. As we travel to Akwaya to implement our previous project "Empower Women, Transform a Community in Cameroon" we are assessing the nutritional needs of the communities there, while also discussing crop improvements, nutritional needs, and sources of nutrition with local community members.
All the planning and logistical requirements have been addressed and the communities in Akwaya are aware of the nutrition project and they are excited to participate in this vital training. The pilot phase of this project, in and around the Buea area, was a great success and we are excited to see communities revitalized and inspired by the simple tools and initiatives that can help them to take control of their nutritional well-being. We continue to plan and prepare for the implementation of this project once our fundraising goals have been met.
Healthier communities in the Akwaya region are truly only a few steps away.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement as you help us build healthier communities in some of Cameroon's neediest regions.
