This project will provide a set of professional Chinese NPO monthly publication - Social Entrepreneurs Magazine - to 500 NPOs or social enterprises for one year in China, for them to gain sufficient, professional, worldwide and up-to-date news, infomations, knowledges and techniques. 50000 individules who work in or care about NPO or social enterprise and numbers of organizations' targeted beneficiaries will be beneficial directly and indirectly by the project.
Millions of NPOs and social enterprises were established in last 10 years in China, a development of operational organizations will be a foreseeable trend in the future. However these organizations are the ones having the least resources. Most of them lack a professional and systematic channel to gain up-to-date news, policies, knowledge and techniques because of the financial reasons. Experiences and lessons of successful social business and social innovations cannot reach to them.
Social Entrepreneurs Magazine provides NPOs and social enterprises a comprehensive platform of worldwide up-to-date news, policies, knowledge and techniques by its 9-year experiences as a publication for NPO focusing on social business and social innovation since 2003 (formerly known as NPO Information Express) . The project helps NPOs gain such information and experiences freely so that they are able to get resources or seek chances of development through it or learn the lessons from others.
The project will give 500 NPOs and social enterprises in China a set of Social Entrepreneurs monthly magazines freely for a year, which will help them gain sufficient and professional information of NPO industry. 50,000 people will be beneficial directly and indirectly by one NPO affecting at least 100 people either organizational staffs or targeted beneficiaries.
The Government of People’s Republic of China has implemented new regulations for foreign NGOs operating in China.
