This project will assist 100 Aceh children and families of refugees from the tsunami rebuild their lives. It will provide homes for orphan children and jobs for adults.
The Bakoy community and Puspem have identified a program to provide a home for children made orphans by the tsunami. The orphanage is for children to learn and play together, go to school, and get affection and attention, shelter, meals and good nutrition. This project will benefit more than 110 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), from Banda Aceh. These children and families now in temporary housing need assistance to help rebuild their lives.
Purchase land and materials to construct the orphanage; provide furniture, food, education, and support for 100 orphans.
More than 100 orphan children can continue their school, get better lives, get affection and recover psychologically from the tsunami. New jobs will help local families so they can develop and improve their skills.
