John's Gold Medal!
Namaste!
The children are back to school and working hard! They are doing well in their studies and in extracurricular activities through school.
One of our children, John Chaudhari, who is currently working studying in the 4th grade was named first position in the football match at his school. He was very honored to receive a certificate from the Red Cross and a gold medal for his achievements. We are very proud of his continued success.
We feel so very blessed that John has been with us since the beginning of the New Home for Orphan Children. He is from a rural area in mid-western Nepal, from the Tharu tribe. His father is deaf and his mother is handicapped - it is because of these disabilities that they do not have land. When he first came to NHOC, he did not have proper clothes and was suffering from severe starvation and malnutrition. His family could simply not afford to keep him alive.
Nowadays, John is good in health, studying hard, and wants to be an artist. Please pray for him and his budding talents, that his gifts will bring him great happiness and glorify him within his rural community - a great honor for this young man.
We are excited to continue our good work, and we are so thankful to those of you who reach out to support and guide our widows and children. Please continue your support as the need is ever great.
