Mountains of hope: What Mountains? Big lumps of rocks that are getting in the way of kids. We want to create a new people who climb up and over the stuff, that’s why we designed this sustainable project which needs your help.
We feel that orphans need to be helped to develop skills that will be useful throughout their lives while in the safe home. Our organization is dedicated to the process of making that happen but we need your help.
“You are responsible for the things you help put in the world, if you don’t think something should exist in the world, do not participate in it”- Mike Monteiro
Our community is clearly excited and eager to see this project succeed. You can be a part of that excitement.
We have worked with the community that provides local labour, children pray for the project, yet the government provides technical advice, it’s wonderful.
So far our construction has reached window level, this level will be completed in one days time, the building will be given five days to stabilize so that ring beams be tied on, We need $538 to fix the ring beams on, currently we haven’t got any new donations which means that we may have to wait till we get this amount, the community and children are not going to be able to cough a big pile of cash to do the project, because if they had cash they probably wouldn’t need Mountains of hope in the first place, so we are on the lookout for a donor with a big heart, a social conscience and a love of the outdoors to make it cool for the kids

Greetings our dear friends,
We would like to make an update on the current project that you are funding. The construction is going on and we have reached window level, the building consists of four (4) rooms, one for the girls, one for the boys, one for the house mother and the other for store and office. We started with this as we want the children to relocate to the new property as soon as its complete.
We still have alot to be done, we have not started on the latrine, kitchen and gardening as the funds have limited us, we are counting on your support this month for the completion of the four roomed dormitory, kitchen and latrine, other wise there is no way the government can allow the children to relocate to a building without alatrine, an incomplete building and without a kitchen.
After the completion of this buildings, we shall start working on the guest house, this will be housing our sponsors that will be paying visits to the orphanage in the near future.

Thank you once again for your generous donations.

Thanks to all your generous donations, the girls dormitory has been fully funded! Over 60,000 bricks have been baked and construction will begin in the coming weeks. As soon as construction begins, the farm will be planted and Mountains of Hope will be on its way to being self-supporting. While this is a tremendous accomplishment, more funds are needed to complete the full vision and move all the children out of the rented building and into the newly built one. We need your help to make this happen!
We dream of the day when Mountains of Hope will not simply be a small home for 20 orphans, but it will house 100 children in need, it will comprise self-sustaining micro-businesses, and it will be a change agent in a community plagued with poverty.
