On a recent hot day in July, three year old Muniba was brought to our Charsadda outpatient facility by her mother and aunt. Her family could not afford to take her to the private healthcare centers for the treatment she needed. Muniba had diarrhea with blood in the stools, fever and mild dehydration. She was promptly examined by our doctor and started on the medicines she needed and was sent home as soon as she was stable and better.
Muniba is just one of the many patients who are provided care at our facilities in Swat, Charsadda and Shikarpur with your support. In May, 6446 beneficiaries received treatment at these facilities, where most patients came in with diarrhea, malaria, malnutrition, measles, febrile fits or gastritis. With the onset of summer we are seeing more of diarrheal diseases at our centers as opposed to respiratory infections which are common in winter.
In this dire economy, your contributions help us in keeping our doors open for children like Muniba and countless others who are grateful for the services we provide. In turn, we are deeply grateful for your generosity and look forward to your continued support
