Co-founder the Al Basma Club for the Disabled (ABCD). ABCD was established in early 2005 by a group of qualified disabled and non-disabled people. Establishing ABCD came as a response to the sports’, cultural, and social needs of the disabled and as an initiative to activate the sector of disability services been suffering, due to the various political and economic crises in recent years.
Co-founded the Free Gaza Movement. Since August 2008, the Free Gaza Movement has sailed from Cyprus to the Gaza Strip on several successful voyages, bringing in international witnesses to see first hand the devastating effects of Israeli violence against the Palestinian people. Theirs are the first international boats to journey to Gaza since 1967.
