Since its independence in 1960, the Ivorian people have never been associated with various development plans. This created a dependency of the latter. Political parties are well to the forefront and divide the population. Cote d'Ivoire has experienced war from 2002 to 2010 with more than 10,000 dead. Surveyed populations would be represented by associations and NGOs. This project aims to train NGOs and associations to oversee population
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
NGOs and associations are now sought by people. But, because of lack of training, NGOs and associations are neither representatives nor credible nor competitive. This makes NGOs unable to change things and allow people to participate actively in their own development.
How will this project solve this problem?
The training which is the priority problems to solve will provide an opportunity for NGOs and associations to learn good governance, mastery of writing project, research funding. This proposal will give the capacities of NGOs and associations for a better supervision of populations.
Potential Long Term Impact
In the long term, we consider to train 200 NGOs, 500 municipal associations and 2500 rural associations. These different structures will educate the poor and assist them in the identification of projects, writing project and research funding. This project also aims to provide information on the development to underprivileged population.
