Omilling is Malaria –endemic village South Sudan.
Malaria is still a major public health problem in Omilling rural village, under-five children and pregnant women being the most vulnerable.
As far scientific world continues the search for microscope for testing malaria continues, the disease continues to kill several people, particularly children and women.
Recently we have looked into other prevention measures; the use of insecticide treated nets, taking anti-malaria tablets, and prompt treatment of malaria in order to prevent severe illness or death. But because there are no microscopes in the two clinics we are operating into 2 remote mountain villages to test malaria. Our medical staff diagnoses the patients through Guessing – which is not good for life-saving.
Despite the fact that Omilling is Malaria –endemic village, most families said that they want to use the insecticide treated bed-nets to prevent them from mosquito bites but they cannot afford as majority do not have incomes.
For this project we are looking for 10 people to sign for a monthly recurring donation of only $10 – than to donate say $100 in December as a one donation time as “Christmas Gift”. $10 is a lot of money each month in Omilling village and can save several lives. We are also open for a one time donation! If we know that we are getting $10 every month, when children fall sick from malaria - We can take medicines on credit and pay the pharmacist at later agreed date. With recurring giving will enable Hope Ofiriha plans a head in the future to help many people with the limited resources.
We are really glad that you are being with us. Hope Ofiriha looks forward in working with you until this project achieves it goals. In next three months we will bring you a new update, and also tell how the impact of your contributions is making differences to the lives of the villagers in Omilling southern Sudan.
