Project Personnel

María José González - Executive Director MAR Fund

She is Guatemalan. Her academic background is in Wildlife Management. She worked in Tikal National Park with Ocellated Turkeys and also developed several wildlife regulation processes, such as the hunting law and calendar and the first Red Lists for vertebrates in Guatemala. She began work in environmental funds in 1997 and participated in the creation of a network of funds .

Lorenzo Rosenzweig - Executive Director, Mexican Fund

Lorenzo is Mexican. He has extensive experience in fundraising and capital campaigns, and the operation and funding of biodiversity conservation, environmental research and capacity building projects. He contributed to the design of the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Funds (RedLAC). He is an active member of several advisory councils and boards, including the Synergos Institute.
