We work with thirty outstanding students in the Ethiopian community in Israel, and help them become positive role models by providing long term comprehensive support for their academic / school studies.
Notwithstanding their heroism and dedication to Israel, the condition of the Ethiopian community in Israel-which has grown to 120,000 (30% of which are native-born Israelis)- flies under the radar of most Israelis. With vast gaps in educational attainment, socioeconomic status and much higher levels of juvenile crime, substance abuse and domestic violence, Ethiopian youth face extraordinary obstacles to happy, productive lives as they remain one of the weakest sectors of society.
This program provides individualized, long term, comprehensive support to twenty exceptionally talented Ethiopian youngsters aspiring to groundbreaking careers in Israeli society, thus allowing them to fulfill their full academic potential and dreams.
We help create fundamental change amongst the Ethiopian community in Israel by creating unique role models that inspire those around them, overcome the vicious cycle of poverty and break down social stigmas that exist in the job market.
