Funds are restricted for use in breast cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services.
Studies show that early detection of breast and cervical cancers saves lives. Timely mammography screening among women aged 40 years or older could reduce breast cancer mortality by approximately 16% compared with women who are not screened. The women most commonly diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer are African-American and Hispanic women compared to white women. We need to ensure that ALL women have access to mammograms and treatment services.
All funds raised will go towards breast cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services. With your support, we can end breast cancer once and for all!
Everyday, the American Cancer Society fights breast cancer in our community. We fund lifesaving research, provide up-to-date breast cancer info, advocate for public policies that ensure all women have access to breast cancer screenings and treatment.
