Nobelity Project Computer Lab
One of our primary school improvements that have led to Mahiga Primary School making tremendous advancement to the top-rated school in a large district of 172 schools.
Computer Class - One Laptop Per Child
The primary school computer lab has 17 OLPC laptops. The new computer lab at the high school will have OLPC's and full-sized laptops for use by students and teachers, providing access to information and an expanded world view through the internet. Computer literacy is a key ingredient for employment and higher education.
The RainWater Court
Winner of the Nike Foundation's International design competition, the GameChangers Award, the Rainwater Court provides purified drinking water for the school as well as a multi-sport court, outdoor classroom, performance space and even a movie theatre. Funding of The RainWater Court is provided by The Nike Foundation with construction oversight by Architecture for Humanity, a big addition to the classrooms and science labs funded by 1000 Voices for Hope.
