We are so grateful for your generous support and hope that you will join us in our continued fight against breast cancer in 2013.
As we reflect on 2012, we could not be more proud of the innovative research being conducted on behalf of The Lynn Sage Foundation. As always, we continue to raise crucial funds to support research in an effort to find a cure for breast cancer.
In 2012, The Lynn Sage Foundation established an Associate Board comprised of young professionals committed to raising funds for breast cancer research in the name of Lynn Sage. This was accomplished with the help of corporate sponsor Mesirow Financial. With the support of this board, along with our original group of supporters, we hosted our inaugural Chill After Party. This new event was a huge success in engaging a new generation of donors.
2012 also brought the second year of funding for Dr. Cheng. Dr. Cheng's lab focuses on investigating the biological components and pathways that control tumor metastasis and recurrence, which represent the two major obstacles in the successful treatment of cancer.
As we launch into 2013 we are looking forward to funding our 4th Lynn Sage Scholar. This year, as we work with Northwestern University to choose a promising young investigator as our next Lynn Sage Scholar, we continue to develop our fundraising initiatives with the hope that as soon as 2014, we will be able to fund two Lynn Sage Scholars working toward our goal of eradicating breast cancer. New areas that we are eager to support include nutrition and epidemiology.
Our next major fundraising campaign occurs this Spring. In celebration of Mother's Day we hold our annual campaign where donors make a donation in honor of their loved one and send a thoughtful eCard in time for Mother's Day. In conjunction with this campaign, we will be introducing a newly designed website (www.lynnsagefoundation.org) enhancing communication with our supporters. You can also keep up with us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/thelynnsagefoundation) and LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com/groups/Lynn-Sage-Foundation-3824225/about) to receive the latest news on our research, scholars, events and fundraising initiatives.
Without your support, important breast cancer research would not be possible. Thank you. Together, we can make a difference and eradicate this disease. .

We hope you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to a great Fall!
October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is right around the corner and is a crucial time for The Lynn Sage Foundation to raise important funding for breast cancer research. This is a great time to make your annual donation to this urgent cause.
Our current Lynn Sage Scholar, Dr. Cheng is now in her 2nd year of funding and is continuing her work on the biological and components and pathways that control tumor metastasis and recurrence, which represent two of the major obstacles in the successful treatment of cancer. Dr. Cheng works diligently at the Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern University, and we could not be more proud of the innovative research being conducted on behalf of The Lynn Sage Foundation.
We are eagerly looking forward to funding our 4th Lynn Sage Scholar in 2013 and hope to fund at least two scholars as early as 2014. With your help, we can grow our Lynn Sage Scholars program and continue to support breast cancer research until we reach our ultimate goal of finding a cure. The Lynn Sage Foundation solely funds research and is entirely donor based. With support of donors like you, we are committed to finding a cure for breast cancer.
Best wishes for a great season,
Our annual Mother’s Day eCard campaign was a great success, raising almost $30,000 with the help of generous donors and our corporate sponsor, Mesirow Financial.
With summer fast approaching, The Lynn Sage Foundation is beginning to once again gear up for our annual Chicago’s in Good Taste campaign. We are thrilled to be celebrating the 5th anniversary of this initiative. Since 2008, we have raised over $250,000. This year, our goal is to net over $100,000 with the support of resaturants such as Mia Francesca, Howl at the Moon and N9NE Steakhouse. See our full list of participants here: http://www.lynnsagefoundation.org/InGoodTaste.aspx
Chicago's In Good Taste is a month long campaign in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Our partner restaurants raise funds by donating proceeds from a special menu item or by asking patrons to add $1 to their bill to support The Lynn Sage Foundation. With the continued support of friends like you and our partnering establishments, we look forward to growing our success in the 5th year of this campaign.
As always, our Lynn Sage Scholar Dr. Cheng continues her hard work and research, investigating the biological components and pathways that control tumor metastasis and recurrence.
Please keep up with The Lynn Sage Foundation by visiting us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Thank you for your generous support in the fight against breast cancer. Together we can find a cure.
Best wishes for a wonderful summer,
Spring is in the air and the Lynn Sage Foundation is looking forward to growth and opportunity. Our current scholar, Dr. Cheng and her team are continuing to investigate the biological components and pathways that control tumor metastasis and recurrence (which represent the two major obstacles in the successful treatment ofcancer).
As Dr. Cheng conducts her vital work, the Lynn Sage Foundation Board continues to raise the necessary funds to support her ground-breaking research to change the trajectory of breast cancer. Our hope is that in 2013, with the continued support of so many generous donors, we will be able for the first time ever, to sustain two Lynn Sage Scholars.
With this new goal in mind and Mother’s Day fast approaching, we will once again offer beautifully designed digital Mother’s Day cards with all proceeds going to breast cancer research. As May gets closer be sure to check outwww.LynnSageFoundation.org to send a beautiful, inspiring, and impactful card to all the special Mothers in your life.
