the low depression formed in the bay of bengal during the last week of oct 2012 brought in heavy rainfall in the coastal districts of andhra pradesh.the weekend cyclone crossed Mahabalipuram north of tamilnadu coast on 31st october 2012 with winds crossing at 70 km per hour. despite this there was wide spread heavy destruction in 8 districts.due to unprecedented continuous downpour of rain ranging from 100 mm to 330 mm per day from 1st november to 6th leading to property loss of 1550 crores
to instill confidence and restoring hope among the disaster victims planned disaster response initiative in the form of relief materials and provision of rice to be provided to the victims.
2000 families and 9000 people will be benefited. This activity will uphold the dignity of the victims to carry forward with enthusiasm for their future sustenance and restoring livelihoods.
