This fund will support relief work in London. Funds will also support long-term conflict prevention/transformation efforts to address global sources of violence.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
On July 7th, 2005, a series of explosions devastated numerous subway stations and a double-decker bus in central London. The Relief Fund will, among other things, make contributions to The London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund set up by the Mayor of London, with the British Red Cross. The Fund also will support communities around the world engaged in conflict resolution, prevention, and transformation efforts to address the long-term sources of violence and conflict.
How will this project solve this problem?
Relieve sickness and disability, physical or mental, caused by the attack or to relieve financial needs. Support conflict resolution, prevention, and transformation efforts around the world, including education, outreach, and dialogue.
