Summary

This project will provide furniture for the children at Samsungwon, an orphanage in Gumi, Gyeongbuk province, South Korea. The orphanage is in need of beds, bookshelves, desks, chairs, and more. KKOOM will use funds raised through this GlobalGiving project to go out and directly purchase the needed furniture for Samsungwon.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Samsungwon receives private and government funding to run the orphanage, but they do not have adequate funding to replace dated and broken furniture. The children need new furniture in their living spaces.

How will this project solve this problem?

KKOOM will purchase new furniture for the children.

Potential Long Term Impact

The existing space at Samsungwon is dated and cramped. New furniture will make better use of the existing space by allowing better organization of the kids' belongings and living areas. New beds and desks will make the children's lives more comfortable.
