Empowering Girls in Kibera

Judy Atieno is a student in primary school at class 8. She is also in a group of Binti-pamoja, under the Carolina for Kibera.She is a young girl who is very active in her group. Says that her group closes some activities like clean ups, cabbage collecting, taught how to keep our bodies clean and about our health. It is done for at least twice a month.Cleaning their community helps them to live in a conducive environment and avoid bacteria affecting their health. And by cleaning their bodies will also avoid disease that can be caused by dirtiness.She says that every girl should join her group or any other to keep our bodies clean and our community.
